Yesterday, ARFC voted their new captain…and the winner is Mshvildadze ‘Giorgi’ Grigol. Mike Pelekanos successor will have the task to lead the owls in the hard task of winning the second championship.

The ARFC scrumy has a proud pedigree in schoolboy rugby before he joined them. He was captain of the Rugby School side that won the Georgian Cup in 2003 and has played for Georgia Schools at U16 and U18 level
I would like to congratulate Grigol on his appointment as captain of ARFC.
He’s one of the better players around and by far the best scrum-half in Greece; I hope to see him in the Greek national jersey soon.
In the mean time, I would like to whish him, and his teammates, all the best for the coming season.
Yours in rugby,
Michael.
Thanks Mike. He really appreciates your words.
